Schematic representation of liposomes (left) versus polymersomes (right). Polymersomes are synthetic analogues of liposomes and are constituted of amphiphilic block copolymer membrane. Whilst most properties are similar for both carriers, polymersomes exhibit a high versatility and an enhanced stability.
